Early humans may have used art as a way of helping themselves in their struggle for survival. Hunter gatherers may have stayed in caves but would not have stayed for long, just for the winter.

After the winter they moved around to where there was food.Some of the objects that were used still survive today. The stone age was a time in history when early humans used toods and weapons  made out of stone . Stone age people created their own music and dances. Some of their instruments included drums bullroarers and flutes.
